The main Cronus Zen alternatives are the XIM Matrix and ReaSnow S1 for mouse and keyboard, the Strike Pack for paddles and built-in mods, the Titan Two for scripting, and a DualSense Edge or Xbox Elite pad for paddles with no mods at all. There is no single replacement because the Zen does three different jobs: it runs scripts, it puts a mouse and keyboard on a console, and it lets one pad play through another pad's identity. Each alternative does one or two of those. This page lists them by what they replace.

## Each one in a paragraph

**XIM Matrix.** XIM calls it a multi-input adapter: mice, keyboards, gyro and cross-console controllers, with its Smart Translator aim system and a macro engine, Smart Actions, whose documented scenarios include auto fire and basic recoil control. No scripting language and no way to load a GPC script. It supports Xbox Series, PS5, Xbox One, PS4 and PC; Switch is not on XIM's list. The one to beat for mouse aim. [Zen vs XIM Matrix](/docs/cronus-zen-vs-xim-matrix).

**ReaSnow S1.** A mouse-and-keyboard converter built around mouse optimisation, with built-in macros (ReaSnow lists an anti-recoil macro type) and mapping in its app, and support for wheels and flight sticks. ReaSnow lists PS5, Xbox Series, Switch and older consoles among compatible systems. No open scripts. [Zen vs ReaSnow S1](/docs/cronus-zen-vs-reasnow-s1).

**Strike Pack.** Collective Minds' controller attachment: back paddles or buttons plus built-in mods, per controller model, with no separate authentication pad. Current Horizon models add recoil assist, aim assist and macros you build in Collective Minds' phone app; the legacy Eliminator lists hair triggers, rapid fire, drop shot, anti-recoil and auto run as built-in mods. In Collective Minds' product listings on 7 October 2026, every Strike Pack model listed cost less than the Zen. [Zen vs Strike Pack](/docs/cronus-zen-vs-strike-pack).

**Titan Two.** ConsoleTuner's scripting device, with its own scripting language, Gamepacks, mouse-and-keyboard support and the Gtuner IV software for Windows and Mac. ConsoleTuner lists PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. Scripts are written for the Titan Two, not the Zen; check that the one you want exists for it.

**DualSense Edge and Elite Series 2.** Official pads with paddles, profiles and stick settings. No scripting, no mods, no exposure. If what you want is back buttons, this is the answer, and it also works through the Zen later; [DualSense Edge and Elite on the Zen](/docs/cronus-zen-dualsense-edge-and-elite-controllers).

**CronusMAX Plus.** The Zen's predecessor. Cronus's comparison lists PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC; no PS5, Xbox Series or Switch, and no OLED. Used only. [Zen vs CronusMAX vs PS5 Ultimate Edition](/docs/cronus-zen-vs-cronusmax-vs-ps5-ultimate-edition).

## Risk across the field

| Device | Named by |
| --- | --- |
| Cronus Zen | Activision (2 Feb 2026), Respawn as "Cronus" (4 Mar 2026), Epic's restricted-hardware page |
| XIM Matrix | Activision (2 Feb 2026); Respawn names "XIM" (4 Mar 2026) |
| Strike Pack | Respawn names "Strikepacks" (4 Mar 2026) |
| Titan Two | Respawn's post refers to a ban wave against accounts using "XIM and Titan peripherals" |
| CronusMAX | Epic's restricted-hardware page names the Cronus Max |
| ReaSnow S1 | Not named in the posts this site has read; Respawn's "similar hardware" and Activision's behaviour-based detections are not brand-specific |
| Edge, Elite | Official accessories; none |

[Is the Cronus Zen detectable?](/docs/is-the-cronus-zen-detectable) is written about the Zen, with every quote dated, and applies to every modifying device on this page in the same words.

## If you are choosing between them today

Decide what you will do in the game, then read the row. If the answer is "load a script someone else maintains", the field narrows to the Zen. If it is "aim with a mouse", start with the XIM. If it is "back buttons", buy the pad. [Is the Cronus Zen worth it?](/docs/is-the-cronus-zen-worth-it) is the same question from the other side.

## FAQ

**What is the best alternative to the Cronus Zen?**

It depends on what you use the Zen for. For mouse and keyboard, the XIM Matrix. For paddles plus built-in recoil assist and macros on one pad, a Strike Pack. For open scripting, the Titan Two is the only other device on this page with its own scripting language.

**Is the Titan Two still an alternative?**

Yes. ConsoleTuner lists PS5, Xbox Series, Switch and older consoles, sells Gamepacks, and has its own scripting language programmed with Gtuner IV on Windows or Mac. Scripts written for the Zen are not written for it.

**Is a DualSense Edge or Elite controller an alternative?**

For paddles and remaps only. They add no scripting, no rapid fire, no anti-recoil. They are also the only option on this page that no publisher has named.

**Does any alternative avoid detection?**

No device that modifies input does. Activision names the Zen and XIM Matrix, Respawn names Strikepacks, Cronus, XIM and Titan devices, and Epic names the Cronus Zen and Cronus Max. The only alternative with no exposure is an official controller.

**Should I buy a CronusMAX Plus instead?**

Only used, cheaply, and only for PS4, Xbox One or older consoles. Cronus says it does not support PS5, Xbox Series or Switch, and its software's final release dates from its 2019 discontinuation.

**Can I combine two of these?**

People chain an M&K adapter into a Zen; Cronus itself says many owners did so before it rebuilt its M&K engine. It works, with two devices, two power draws and two layers of translation. This site does not recommend it.
