As of 7 October 2026, Cronus's current guide lists the Zen as working on PS5 (with the Zen Link module or the bypass), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Wii, and with Android and Apple devices. Its older guide adds PC, without official support, and says the Switch 2 is not supported. Each row below was checked against Cronus's guides on the date in the last column; the guides linked further down are where the procedures live.

## What each row means

**Works** is whether a controller on the Zen stays connected and plays, on current firmware, today, according to Cronus's pages. **Needs** is what beyond the Zen the console demands. **Licence check** is whether the console verifies a licensed accessory through the Zen; where it does, the matching controller on A1 answers it, because Cronus says the console sees whatever the A1 controller reports. [The authentication controller](/docs/cronus-zen-authentication-controller) explains why. **Last change** is the most recent console update that altered the row; **Checked** is when this site last confirmed it against Cronus's pages.

Cronus's current guide lists firmware 2.3.2 (18 August 2026) as the latest release, with 2.3.3 Beta 1 (8 September 2026) as a beta, alongside Zen Studio Live 1.0.9 (8 September 2026) and Zen Link 2.1.4 (20 August 2026). It is built around Zen Studio Live, the browser-based version of Zen Studio. Its older guide still shows firmware 2.2.14 and desktop Zen Studio 1.6.1 Build 82.

## How a row changes

A row moves when a console update alters the connection, when Cronus ships firmware that answers it, or when a console or pad is added to or dropped from Cronus's supported pages. [After a console system update](/docs/cronus-zen-after-console-system-update) is the checklist for the day that happens; [the changelog](/docs/zen-studio-and-firmware-changelog) is the dated record. If your console is on this page as "Yes" and the Zen is not working, the cause is in the chain, not the compatibility: [Cronus Zen not detected](/docs/cronus-zen-not-detected).

## FAQ

**Which consoles does the Cronus Zen work on in 2026?**

Cronus's current guide lists PS5 (with the Zen Link module or the bypass), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch including the OLED and Lite, and Nintendo Wii, plus Android and Apple devices. PC works without official support, per its older guide. Switch 2 is not supported.

**Does the Cronus Zen work on PS5 Pro?**

Yes. Cronus lists the PS5, PS5 Digital, PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro as supported, with Zen Link or the bypass on every model.

**Does the Zen work on Nintendo Switch 2?**

No. Cronus's older guide has a Switch 2 page saying the Zen does not currently support it, and its current guide does not list the console.

**Does the Zen work on PS4 in 2026?**

Yes. Cronus's PS4 page needs no module: a DualShock 4 on A1, a DualShock 4 v2 if you add a crossover pad, and a rear USB port on a PS4 Pro.

**Does the Zen work on Xbox 360 or PS3?**

Yes. Cronus's guide covers both. On PS3 the DualShock 3 goes on A3 and nothing is needed on A1; on Xbox 360 a wired Xbox 360 controller on A1 is the licence donor for wireless or other pads.

**How often is this page updated?**

Whenever a console system update, a Zen firmware release or a change to Cronus's supported-devices pages moves a row. The checked column is per row.
