Battlefield 6 and the Cronus Zen: what scripts change, the season rhythm, EA's prohibited-hardware list
EA lists the Cronus Zen as prohibited in Battlefield 6 in its anticheat update of 28 August 2026; what scripts change, the season rhythm and the setup.
EA's Battlefield 6 anticheat update of 28 August 2026 lists the Cronus Zen by name among input devices that are prohibited in the game, so the device runs as a controller but using it breaks EA's stated rules. That position comes first here. The rest of the hub covers what a script changes, how the season rhythm breaks tables, and the setup.
EA's position, first
Battlefield 6 - Anticheat Update - Season 4, published on EA's site on 28 August 2026, lists prohibited hardware. It includes "Input devices that provide any ability to program or 'script' multiple sequential or simultaneous input signals, no matter whether they call it a macro, a mod, or a combo, it's cheating and not permitted", and "Input devices designed to avoid detection while providing functionality for a competitive advantage", naming XIM, Cronus Zen, Strikepack and Titan Two. It also lists input devices that enable aim assist for mouse and keyboard. The same post says the Xbox Adaptive Controller, PlayStation Access Controller and Steam Input are not prohibited. Is the Cronus Zen detectable? keeps the documented positions current. Nothing on this site describes any script as undetectable.
What a script changes
| Feature | What it does | Depends on | Goes stale when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anti-recoil | Pushes the stick against the weapon's recoil while firing | A table per weapon and attachment set | A balance pass |
| Aim-assist tuning | Small stick movement to keep assist engaged | Assist rules by range | Rule changes |
| Movement macros | Slide, vault, prone chains on one press | Binds | Movement changes |
| Vehicle macros | Repair loops, countermeasure timing | Binds | Vehicle changes |
| Rapid fire | Semi-auto weapons as repeated presses | Fire mode | Rarely |
| Remaps | Any button to any | Nothing | Never |
Call of Duty anti-recoil scripts explained is the same mechanism; how the Zen works is the device-level explanation.
The season rhythm
| Period | What happens | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Season start, every two to three months so far | Season 2 on 17 February 2026, Season 3 on 12 May, Season 4 on 21 July | Tables for changed weapons |
| Phased updates within a season | Season 3 shipped in three parts: 12 May, 9 June and 30 June | Tables again if weapons changed |
| Hotfixes | Read the patch notes | Check the script's changelog |
| Map and mode drops | Usually no weapon change | Nothing |
| Season 5, next | EA's 1 October 2026 preview lists an attachment tuning pass and says a recent gunplay update adjusted recoil | Expect new tables; no start date in the preview |
Dates are from EA's Season 2, Season 3 and Season 4 roadmaps and its Season 5 preview. The monthly roundup records the passes that matter.
Setup that keeps a pull steady
| Element | Setting | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Play pad | Wired; on A1 on Xbox, on A3 on PS5 | Wired vs wireless |
| Zen | Direct into the console | Ports and cables |
| PS5 | Zen Link on A1, pad on A3, Cronus's PS5 settings applied | PS5 setup |
| Xbox | Official Microsoft pad, wired, on A1 | Xbox Series setup |
| Sensitivity and zoom multipliers | Entered in the script; Battlefield exposes several | Tables scaled to them |
| Profile | The weapon and attachments in hand | Wrong profile, wrong pull |
| Test | Firing range after every patch | Before a public match |
Quirks specific to Battlefield 6
- Zoom multipliers. Separate sensitivities per zoom level; a script that takes one is approximating at range.
- Attachment system. Recoil changes enough with attachments that per-build profiles matter.
- Vehicles. Macros are the only thing a script does for a vehicle; there is no recoil to counter on most.
- PC. EA Javelin Anticheat runs on PC, and EA's post says a prohibited product causes a warning when launching the game; PC setup.

Frequently asked
- Does the Cronus Zen work on Battlefield 6?
- As a controller, yes, but EA's Battlefield 6 anticheat update of 28 August 2026 lists the Cronus Zen as prohibited, and says any input device that can script sequential or simultaneous inputs is cheating and not permitted.
- What can a script change in Battlefield 6?
- Pull the stick against a weapon's recoil, tune stick input around aim assist at range, chain movement or vehicle inputs, and remap. It cannot see the map or the target.
- How often do Battlefield 6 tables break?
- At each season and its phased updates. EA started Season 2 on 17 February 2026, Season 3 on 12 May and Season 4 on 21 July.
- Has EA said anything about the Zen in Battlefield 6?
- Yes. EA's 28 August 2026 anticheat update names XIM, Cronus Zen, Strikepack and Titan Two as input devices designed to avoid detection while giving a competitive advantage, on its list of prohibited hardware.
- Do vehicle macros work?
- Where an input sequence is fixed, a macro can send it: repair loops, countermeasure timing. EA's update counts any device that scripts sequential or simultaneous inputs as cheating.
- Wired or wireless?
- Wired: the pad on A1 on Xbox, on A3 on PS5, where Zen Link takes A1. Long-range recoil control shows wireless stutter.
