The Cronus Zen works on Black Ops 7 in the plain sense that the console sees a controller, but Activision says devices like it "are not permitted in Call of Duty" and has targeted them with RICOCHET detections since Season 02. Black Ops 7 launched on 14 November 2025 and is the current annual release until Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches on 23 October 2026. This hub covers what a script changes, how the season cadence breaks tables, the setup that keeps a pull steady, and the publisher's position, which comes first.

Activision's position, first

Team RICOCHET's Season 02 update of 2 February 2026 names the Cronus Zen and XIM Matrix and says: "These devices are not permitted in Call of Duty. They are cheating tools, even if they masquerade as accessibility devices." It describes new detections that "focus on how inputs behave, not which device is plugged in", built on the anti-cheat already running in Black Ops 7 and Warzone, and says Season 02 targeted "the most widely used configurations as a starting point".

Activision's Call of Duty Security and Enforcement Policy (page dated 31 July 2026) lists "unapproved input modification devices" as unsupported peripherals used for cheating. Its penalties include temporary bans, permanent bans and hardware bans, and it says permanent bans "can apply across titles, including past, present, or future titles in the Call of Duty franchise". Is the Cronus Zen detectable? keeps the record with dates. Nothing on this site describes any script as undetectable; a seller who does is selling.

What a script changes

Feature What it does Depends on Goes stale when
Anti-recoil Pushes the stick against the weapon's recoil while firing A table per weapon and attachment set, scaled to your sensitivity Any weapon balance pass
Aim-assist tuning Small stick movement to keep assist engaged The game's assist rules Assist rule changes; mode
Rapid fire Held trigger becomes repeated presses Weapon fire mode Rarely
Movement macros Slide, dive, jump and dropshot chains on one press Binds and the movement set A movement change; Black Ops 7 added Wall Jumps and changed Tactical Sprint
Remaps Any button to any Nothing Never

Call of Duty anti-recoil scripts explained is the mechanism.

The season cadence

Period What happens What it means
Launch, 14 November 2025 The whole weapon set is new New tables for everything
Seasons Season 01 began 4 December 2025; Season 06 on 17 September 2026; each adds weapons and balance changes New tables for changed weapons
Between seasons Mid-season updates and hotfixes Check the script's changelog
Modern Warfare 4, 23 October 2026 A new game and weapon set; Warzone integrates Modern Warfare 4 content from its Season 1 Black Ops 7 tables stay in Black Ops 7; the new game needs a new build

Dates are from Activision's Black Ops 7 Season 06 announcement and Modern Warfare 4 announcement. The monthly roundup records the passes that matter as they land.

Setup that keeps a pull steady

Element Setting Why
Play pad Wired; on A1 on Xbox, on A3 on PS5 No stutter in the pull; wired vs wireless
Zen Direct into the console Ports and cables
PS5 Zen Link on A1, pad on A3, Cronus's PS5 settings applied Cronus's current guide recommends Zen Link; the bypass without it is a manual procedure that has to be repeated. PS5 setup
Xbox Official Microsoft pad, wired, on A1 Xbox Series setup
Sensitivity Entered in the script exactly as in the game Tables are scaled to it
Profile Matches the weapon and attachments in hand Wrong profile, wrong pull
Test On a wall in a private match after every patch Before a public one

Quirks specific to Black Ops 7

  • Movement set. Activision's reveal of 19 August 2025 describes "next-level Omnimovement, including Wall Jumps" and an adjusted Tactical Sprint. A macro built for Black Ops 6 can send a sequence that no longer matches; use a Black Ops 7 build.
  • Attachment tables. Recoil varies with attachments, so maintained scripts ship per-build profiles. A generic profile is worse on every gun.
  • Zombies and campaign. The script does not know the mode, and Activision's statement names no mode exception.
  • PC. Activision's post calls these devices a disruption "on every platform"; PC setup.

Frequently asked

Does the Cronus Zen work on Black Ops 7?
As a controller, yes: the console sees a pad. Activision's RICOCHET post of 2 February 2026 says devices like the Cronus Zen 'are not permitted in Call of Duty' and describes detections aimed at them. Both facts belong in the same answer.
Is Black Ops 7 still the current Call of Duty?
Yes, as of 7 October 2026. Activision has announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 for 23 October 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
What can a script change in Black Ops 7?
Anti-recoil per weapon and attachment set, stick tuning around aim assist, rapid fire for semi-automatic weapons, and movement combos on one press. It cannot see enemies or change damage.
How often do anti-recoil tables break?
At every weapon balance pass, which comes with each season and often between seasons. Black Ops 7 reached Season 06 on 17 September 2026. Maintained scripts ship new tables after each pass.
Is Black Ops 7 different from Black Ops 6 for scripts?
Same mechanism, new weapons, new tables, and Black Ops 7 added Wall Jumps and changed Tactical Sprint. A Black Ops 6 profile is not a Black Ops 7 profile.
Does the Zen work in Zombies?
The device does not know which mode you are in, so scripts behave the same. Activision's post says the devices are not permitted in Call of Duty and names no mode exception.
Wired or wireless?
Wired: the pad on A1 on Xbox, on A3 on PS5, where Zen Link takes A1. A recoil pull with wireless stutter is worse than none.
