In September 2026 the changes that mattered for Zen owners were NBA 2K27's launch and 2K's first wave of permanent bans for shooting aids, the release of EA Sports FC 27, and Black Ops 7 Season 06; on the Zen's side, Cronus released Zen Studio Live 1.0.9 and firmware 2.3.3 Beta 1, and its current guide lists firmware 2.3.2 (18 August 2026) as the latest release. This is the monthly record: each entry says what changed, links the source, and says what a Zen owner should do about it.

The month in one table

Game releases and patches

NBA 2K27. Early access opened on 26 August and the game launched worldwide on 4 September 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2 (2K Newsroom). 2K's patch page lists updates on 28 and 31 August and 3 and 11 September, then a 17 September gameplay update that strengthened defensive contests and slightly boosted wide-open looks; 2K says a broader patch will come before Season 2. For a timing script: the 2K26 calibration is void, the seller's 2K27 build is what you load, and any update touching shooting or animations can move a jumpshot's window. NBA 2K shooting scripts explained covers why a timing script is tied to a game version.

Call of Duty. Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 06 began on 17 September (Activision), with new weapons, so anti-recoil tables for changed and new guns need updates. Activision has announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 for 23 October 2026, after which Warzone integrates Modern Warfare 4 content from its Season 1 and stops being playable on PS4 and Xbox One (Activision, 28 May 2026). On 24 September Activision said weapons from Modern Warfare II through Black Ops 7 stay available in Warzone's Legacy tab (Activision).

EA Sports FC 27. Launched on 25 September 2026, with early access from 18 September (EA). Timed Finishing has been gone since FC 26, so FC scripts are mostly skill-move and shot-input macros; re-test them on the new edition. EA Sports FC and the Zen has the detail.

Everything else. Madden NFL 27 (launched 13 August) had a title update on 16 September that included a Classic Kick Meter fix (EA). Apex Legends was in Season 30, which began on 4 August, and Battlefield 6 in Season 4, which began on 21 July. Scripts by game has the per-game picture.

Publisher enforcement

Publisher Position Source and date

Double Eleven (Rust Console Edition) Scripts and M&K devices are cheating; detected players banned Anti-cheat update, 8 Aug 2025
Rockstar Cheating with third-party software is banned; input hardware not mentioned Community Guidelines, read 7 Oct 2026

Of the dated statements, only 2K's falls in September. Nothing on this page, and nothing on this site, describes any script as undetectable.

Console system software

As of 7 October 2026, Cronus's current PlayStation 5 page supports every PS5 model through Zen Link or the PS5 bypass, and recommends Zen Link: it gives PS5 Native Mode with a one-time setup, while the bypass is a manual procedure that has to be repeated. Its older guide marks the bypass "No Longer Supported". With Zen Link, the module goes on A1 and the pad on A3. If a console system update changes how the Zen connects, after a console system update is the checklist and the compatibility tracker has the current rows.

Firmware and Zen Studio

Cronus's 2026 changelog has two September entries, both dated 8 September: firmware 2.3.3 Beta 1, which fixes a race condition in slot readback, and Zen Studio Live 1.0.9, which offers to skip slots it cannot read back and program the rest. Cronus's current guide lists firmware 2.3.2 (18 August 2026) as the latest release; its older quick-start page still shows 2.2.14 and desktop Zen Studio 1.6.1 Build 82, filed under "ZEN STUDIO (LEGACY)". The changelog is the dated record.

What to do this month

  1. If you play NBA 2K, load the 2K27 build of your script and recalibrate; do not carry 2K26 settings over. Read 2K's 24 September statement first: it covers shooting aids used at any point since early access on 26 August.
  2. If you play EA Sports FC, re-test every macro on FC 27; Timed Finishing scripts from before FC 26 have nothing to time.
  3. If you play Call of Duty, expect new Black Ops 7 tables for Season 06, and a new script for Modern Warfare 4 after 23 October.
  4. Check that your Zen is on firmware 2.3.2, the latest release Cronus's current guide lists, and reload Zen Studio Live to get 1.0.9.

Frequently asked

What changed for Cronus Zen users in September 2026?
NBA 2K27 launched on 4 September and 2K began permanent bans for shooting aids and input manipulation on 24 September; EA Sports FC 27 launched on 25 September; Black Ops 7 Season 06 began on 17 September. On 8 September Cronus released Zen Studio Live 1.0.9 and firmware 2.3.3 Beta 1; its current guide lists firmware 2.3.2 (18 August 2026) as the latest release.
Do NBA 2K scripts from 2K26 work on 2K27?
Not as they are. A new game means new shot timings and animations. Script sellers ship a 2K27 build and a recalibration; treat the old script as retired.
Did 2K ban Cronus Zen users in September?
2K's 24 September 2026 statement announced a first wave of permanent bans for cheats and scripts used for shooting aids and other input manipulation, retroactive to early access on 26 August. It does not name the Zen or any device.
Is the Zen still detected in Call of Duty?
Activision's position has not changed since its 2 February 2026 RICOCHET post: devices like the Cronus Zen 'are not permitted in Call of Duty', and its detections analyse input behaviour rather than the hardware.
How often is this roundup published?
Monthly, with the month in the title. Each one is a separate page so the record stays dated.
