Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and the Cronus Zen: what still applies after Black Ops 7
The Cronus Zen still runs on Black Ops 6, but Activision says such devices are not permitted in Call of Duty; what scripts still do and the patch rhythm.
Cronus Zen scripts still run on Black Ops 6, but Activision says devices like the Zen "are not permitted in Call of Duty", a statement about the franchise rather than one entry. Black Ops 6 launched on 25 October 2024, Black Ops 7 replaced it as the annual release on 14 November 2025, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 follows on 23 October 2026. This hub is the map for running the Zen on Black Ops 6 now: the publisher's position first, then what a script changes, the patch rhythm and the setup.
Activision's position, first
Team RICOCHET's Season 02 update of 2 February 2026 names the Cronus Zen and XIM Matrix and says: "These devices are not permitted in Call of Duty." The detections it introduced analyse how inputs behave rather than which device is plugged in. Activision's Security and Enforcement Policy (page dated 31 July 2026) lists "unapproved input modification devices" as a violation and says permanent bans "can apply across titles, including past, present, or future titles in the Call of Duty franchise". An older entry sits under the same account and the same policy. Is the Cronus Zen detectable? has the dated record. Nothing on this site describes any script as undetectable.
What a script changes
| Feature | What it does | Depends on | Goes stale when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anti-recoil | Pushes the stick against recoil while firing | A table per weapon and attachment set | A balance pass |
| Omnimovement macros | Sprint, slide, dive chains in any direction on one press | Binds and the movement set | Bind changes |
| Aim-assist tuning | Small stick movement to keep assist engaged | Assist rules | Rule changes |
| Rapid fire | Semi-auto weapons as repeated presses | Fire mode | Rarely |
| Remaps | Any button to any | Nothing | Never |
Call of Duty anti-recoil scripts explained is the mechanism.
The patch rhythm now
| Period | What happens | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Season 06, from 9 October 2025 | The Haunting, announced for Black Ops 6 and Warzone five weeks before Black Ops 7 launched | Tables built for that balance state |
| Since 14 November 2025 | Activision's seasonal announcements name Black Ops 7 and Warzone | Read the Black Ops 6 patch notes before assuming a table is current |
| Black Ops 6 weapons in Warzone | Available through Warzone's Legacy tab; Activision says they stay there from Modern Warfare 4's Season 1 | Use a Warzone table in Warzone, not a Black Ops 6 multiplayer one |
| Author attention | Authors follow the current entry | Confirm the Black Ops 6 build is still maintained before paying |
Sources: Activision's Black Ops 6 Season 06 post and its Warzone carry-forward post of 24 September 2026. If the patch notes are quiet for the guns you use, a free script or a one-off purchase makes more sense here than for the current entry; free vs paid.
Setup that keeps a pull steady
| Element | Setting | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Play pad | Wired; on A1 on Xbox, on A3 on PS5 | Wired vs wireless |
| Zen | Direct into the console | Ports and cables |
| PS5 | Zen Link on A1, pad on A3, Cronus's PS5 settings applied | PS5 setup |
| Xbox | Official Microsoft pad, wired, on A1 | Xbox Series setup |
| Sensitivity | Entered in the script as in the game | Tables scaled to it |
| Profile | Matches the weapon and attachments | Wrong profile, wrong pull |
Quirks specific to Black Ops 6
- Omnimovement macros. The signature of this entry. They depend on binds, not balance, so they are the most durable part of a Black Ops 6 script.
- Old scripts for old builds. A script dated to the launch season may reference weapons since changed; read the header; free scripts.
- Zombies. Popular here; the device does not know the mode, and Activision's statement names no mode exception.
The guides that apply
| Need | Guide |
|---|---|
| Load the script | How to put a script on the Zen |
| Script does nothing | Script not working |
| Current entry | Black Ops 7 and the Zen |
| Battle royale | Warzone and the Zen |
Frequently asked
- Do Cronus Zen scripts still work on Black Ops 6?
- They still run, as on any game. Check that the script's author still maintains the Black Ops 6 build, and that recent Black Ops 6 patch notes have not changed the weapons you use.
- Is Black Ops 6 safer than Black Ops 7 for the Zen?
- No. Activision's 2 February 2026 post says these devices 'are not permitted in Call of Duty', and its enforcement policy says permanent bans can apply across past, present and future Call of Duty titles.
- What made Black Ops 6 different for scripts?
- Omnimovement. Macros for sprint-slide-dive chains in any direction were the new thing, and they depend on binds more than on balance.
- Do Black Ops 6 profiles work in Black Ops 7?
- No. Different weapons, different tables, and Black Ops 7 added Wall Jumps and changed Tactical Sprint.
- Is the weapon pool still patched?
- Activision's seasonal announcements since Black Ops 7 launched on 14 November 2025 are for Black Ops 7 and Warzone. Read the Black Ops 6 patch notes rather than assuming either way.
- Wired or wireless?
- Wired, as for any recoil script: the pad on A1 on Xbox, on A3 on PS5, where Zen Link takes A1.
